Welcome to Lyndal Thomas Yoga
Lyndal Thomas offers a range of yoga classes in North Brisbane. The yoga classes are located in the Brisbane suburbs of Mitchelton and Keperra.
The classes are suitable for beginners or a more experienced participant.
Courses run for 6 – 9 weeks in both venues. Casual classes are available at Mitchelton.
Private classes are also available for one or two people. These classes are catered specifically for the individuals’ needs and can be delivered at Keperra or in your own home.
Larger classes may also be hosted at a particular venue such as a workplace or sporting venue.
About Our Gentle & Relaxing Yoga Classes
All classes run face-to-face plus most classes, other than Tuesday and Thursday evening, also have the option of attending via Zoom.
BYO Mat to class. Wear clothes that enable you to move freely and are appropriate for the weather. Bring a towel, blanket or pillow if you feel you might need props to help you to sit easily or for warmth in meditation. It is a good idea to also bring a bottle of water along.
The only classes that take regular casual students at the moment are Tuesday and Thursday evenings. A casual place may be available in other classes if you are trying it out to see if you wish to sign up for the remainder of the term. Casual spots in the Keperra classes must be booked on a week by week basis.
Private Classes and One on One Consultations
There are a whole host of reasons that students come to Lyndal for private classes. For some, it will be physical problems such as lower back issues or neck problems. In some cases, the physical challenges can lead to chronic pain, weakness or a general lack of flexibility.
Some people will be nervous about attending yoga for the first time ever or the first time in many years. They may choose to get some private classes so they feel more confident in a group situation later. In those circumstances, some of the common postures done in class would be run through and specific suggestions made one-on-one.
It may be that it is not appropriate for an individual to attend the general classes. Physical limitations may stop them from doing some of the more general postures. Lyndal is trained in Chair Yoga and that may be more suitable. Individual sessions targeted to their specific body requirements will help to build confidence and enthusiasm. Lyndal always works within the student’s ability and goes at an appropriate pace for that person. Compassion and kindness for your body and self are her primary focus.
